Itinerary
Gwalior is well connected. Our representative will meet you at the Gwalior Airport.
Check into your hotel and get some rest.
Leave from your hotel around 03:00 PM to visit Gwalior Fort and attend the sound and light show. The sound and light show illuminates the Man Mandir Palace. The unbeatable narration by Mr. Bachchan, accompanied by the melody of legendry Ravishankar's sitar sets the perfect ambiance to enjoy the glorious history of the city as it unfolds.
Post breakfast, leave for a full day sightseeing tour. Visit the Bateshwar group of temples, an ancient archaeological site comprising of around 200 intricately carved sandstone temples dating back to the 8th to 10th centuries AD.
Mitaoli is ancient architectural marvel renowned for its unique circular design. Dating back to the 8th century, this circular temple complex holds a close resemblance to the Parliament of India and is one of 11 surviving temples dedicated to the ancient 64 yoginis cult.
Head back to Gwalior and see the gorgeous rock cut sculptures, Jai Vilas Place and many other sites architectural gems of Gwalior
After breakfast, leave for Orchha. Nestled along the banks of the Betwa River, Orchha, is a historical town known for its architectural marvels and timeless heritage. Exploring this 16 th century town will take you back to the medieval times.
Check into your hotel. You will be staying at riverside hotel overlooking the Betwa River.
Explore this 500-year-old town on a bicycle. Visit the Orchha fort complex. Explore the impressive Jahangir Mahal, a fine example of Bundela architecture. Visit Raj Mahal, known for its beautiful murals and architecture.
In the evening, enjoy the beautiful and serene view as the sun sets on the Betwa river.
Post breakfast visit the Ram Raja Temple, a unique combination of a fort and a temple. You will also visit Chaturbhuj Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
Leave for Khajuraho post lunch. At Kahjurao, attend the captivating sound & light show describing the life of the Chandela rulers and the story of the temples from the 10th to 11th centuries. The show takes place at the beautiful western group of temples.
Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Khajuraho, in day light. Its stunning group of ancient temples, primarily built between 950 and 1050 AD. These temples are celebrated for their exquisite and intricate erotic sculptures, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and artistic expression.
Stay at a homestay in Madla
Madla Village is a picturesque settlement nestled amidst lush greenery and serene surroundings. Known for its rich cultural heritage, the village is dotted with ancient temples and historical sites that attract history enthusiasts and pilgrims alike. Madla Village offers a glimpse into traditional rural life in Madhya Pradesh, with its mud houses, vibrant markets, and traditional art forms. Enjoy folk music & dance, local festivals and Bundelkhand cuisine.
Leave for Bandhavgarh National Park, a 5-hour journey from Madla. Bandhavgarh National Park offers an unforgettable wildlife experience for nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers. Renowned for its high density of Bengal tigers, the park provides a rare opportunity to witness these majestic creatures in their natural habitat.
Enjoy a night safari in the Buffer zone of the National park.
Embark on a thrilling jeep safaris and elephant rides to explore the park's diverse flora and fauna, including various species of birds, mammals, and reptiles and in particular the Royal Bengal Tigers.
Enjoy a final sunrise at the Bandhavgarh National Park and then leave for the nearest airport. Jabalpur is a 4 hour drive and we will take a flight from Jabalpur to Indore.
At Indore, visit Sarafa Bazar, a bustling night market that comes alive after sunset, transforming into a food lover's paradise. This vibrant market is renowned for its delectable street food, local snacks, and sweets. Indulge in a wide array of culinary delights
Visit Rajwada a historic palace located in the heart of Indore. Built by the Holkars, it is a magnificent blend of Maratha, Mughal, and French architectural styles. The seven-story structure, adorned with intricately designed windows and balconies, stands as a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the region.
Glass Temple or Kanch Mandir in Indore is a unique Jain temple renowned for its stunning architecture entirely constructed with glass. The temple's interiors, including walls, ceilings, and floors, are covered in intricate glass mosaics, creating a mesmerizing visual effect. Devotees and visitors alike are captivated by the radiant play of light within the temple, making it a remarkable spiritual and artistic destination.
