Guest Welcome – The vibrant evening commences with the rhythmic beats of the dhol-tasha, creating an energetic and welcoming atmosphere for the guests. As the guests enter, they are greeted with the traditional pheta (Maharashtrian turban) tying ceremony, symbolizing honor and respect.
Art and crafts – A Warli painting stall showcases the essence of Maharashtra’s tribal art scene. The stall provides an interactive space for guests to explore and appreciate the rich cultural heritage through artistic expression.
Live performances – portraying an array of folk dances starting with the traditional Ganesh Vandana dedicated to Lord Ganesha; Gondhal – a traditional folk dance and ritualistic performance to worship local deities; Koli dance is a celebratory folk dance that reflects the coastal lifestyle and seafaring traditions; Lavani incorporates themes of love and romance and last but not least, an act depicting Shivaji Maharaja’s coronation ceremony celebration.
